Take Route 202 North toward Doylestown over the Route 611 bypass, past Doylestown Hospital (on left). At six-point intersection, look for and follow blue and white signs for Cultural District, turning right on Clinton Avenue. Turn left on Oakland Avenue. Cross over Route 611/Main Street (traffic light). Turn right on Pine Street. Go 2 blocks. Museum is on the right; circle around the block to parking lot and new entrance. Approximate travel time 30 minutes.

From Yardley
Route 332 North to Route 413. Route 413 North to Route 202 South. Route 202 South to Doylestown. Follow blue and white Cultural District signs. Turn left on Ashland Street. Turn left on Pine Street. Museum is on the right; circle around the block to parking lot and new entrance. Approximate travel time: 35 to 45 minutes.

From Philadelphia 1-95
1-95 North to Street Road (Route 132). Street Road West to Route 611 North. Route 611 North to Doylestown, avoiding the Route 611 bypass, take Doylestown exit on right. Follow the blue and white Cultural District signs. Follow to second traffic light; turn right on Ashland Street. Turn right on Pine Street. Museum is on right; circle around the block to parking lot and new entrance. Approximate travel time: one hour.

From PA Turnpike
Willow Grove Exit 343 to Route 611 North. Route 611 North to Doylestown, avoiding the Route 611 bypass, take Doylestown exit on right. Follow the blue and white Cultural District signs. Follow to second traffic light (Ashland Street). Turn right on Ashland Street, right on Pine Street. Museum is on right; circle around the block to parking lot and new entrance. Approximate travel time: 20 to 30 minutes.

From Allentown
Northeast Extension of the PA Turnpike (Route 476) South to the Quakertown Exit 44. Follow Route 663 toward Quakertown and cross Route 309 (Route 663 becomes Route 313). Follow Route 313 to Doylestown. Cross North Main Street and continue on Route 313 (Swamp Road) to Route 202. Turn right on Route 202. Follow blue and white Cultural District signs. Turn left on Ashland Street. Turn left on Pine Street. Museum is on the right; circle around the block to parking lot and new entrance. Approximate travel time: 45 minutes.

From New York City
Holland Tunnel to NJ Turnpike South. Take Exit 14 (Route 78 West). Route 78 West to 287 east to 202 South (Somerville Exit). Follow Route 202 South over toll bridge into PA past New Hope and Lahaska into Doylestown. Cross over Route 313, follow signs to Doylestown Cultural District, turn left on Ashland Street. Turn left on Pine Street. Museum is on the right; circle around block to parking lot and new entrance. Approximate travel time: 2.5 hours.

Long Island
Route 27 (Sunrise Expressway) to Southern Belt Parkway West. Follow around Kennedy Airport, over the Verrazano Narrows Bridge. Expressway becomes Route 278 (Staten Island Expressway) once off the bridge. Follow to New Jersey turnpike North. Take exit 14 (Route 78 West). Follow Route 78 West to Route 202 South (Somerville Exit). Follow Route 202 South over toll bridge by New Hope and through Lahaska into Doylestown. Cross over Routh 313, turn left on Ashland Street. Turn left on Pine Street. Museum is on the right; circle around the block to parking lot and new entrance. Approximate travel time: 3.5 hours.

Lansdale/Doylestown Line Station located at Clinton Avenue and Ashland Street. Follow Ashland Street East (turn left when coming out of the station then right on Ashland). Cross over Main Street.  Concrete castle Museum is in front of you. Turn right on Green Street; entrance is on right off parking lot. Approximate walking time: 5 minutes.

SEPTA Bus Service
55 Bus runs from Broad and Olney to Doylestown Train Station, located at Clinton Avenue and Ashland Street. Follow directions above from train station. Approximate walking time: 5 minutes.

Please Note: Buses, campers and other large vehicles should not attempt to pass through the concrete pillars at Fonthill. Instead proceed to stoplight. Make left onto Route 313 (Swamp Road). Make left at Moravian Pottery and Tile Works (130 Swamp Road) and follow road to the Fonthill parking lot.

From Montgomeryville/202 North
Take Route 202 North toward Doylestown over the Route 611 bypass, past Doylestown Hospital (on left). At six-point intersection, take Court Street (left fork). Pass Bucks County Courthouse on left and follow East Court Street about 1 mile. Fonthill is on left at 525 East Court Street. Turn left between concrete pillars and follow tree-lined driveway to the Fonthill parking lot. Approximate travel time 30 minutes.

From Philadelphia 1-95
1-95 North to Street Road (Route 132). Street Road West to Old York Road (Route 263). Make right and follow Route 263 North to Route 313. Make left onto Route 313. At the second stoplight, make left onto East Court Street. Fonthill is the first driveway on the right at 525 East Court Street. Turn right between concrete pillars and follow tree-lined driveway to the Fonthill parking lot. Approximate travel time: one hour.

Accessibility

The original Mercer Museum is partially handicapped accessible (approximately 65%) by elevator. The new wing which includes the changing Exhibition Gallery and Learning Center is fully accessible including restrooms. Additional educational program areas are or can be fully accessible. Fonthill Castle has limited accessibility, however, a ground floor tour may be arranged. Please notify us when you make your reservation if your group includes individuals with special needs.
